Nelma Dunn

Nelma Dunn, 82, of Pikeville passed away on February 11, 2013. 

He was a member of the Calvary Free Will Baptist Church. He worked with TVA as a line foreman. Nelma enjoyed coin collecting, antiques, and hunting. He operated a trading post as well. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Byrd Mack Vay and Laura Ann Swafford Dunn; siblings, York, Dan, and Thompson Dunn, Landel, Stevie, D.E., David, Jake, and Walter Hankins, Ruby Roberts, Eleanor Hurst, Lela Thurman, Florence and Mary Lou Hankins. 

He is survived and will be missed by his wife of 62 years, Jamie Elizabeth (Simmons) Dunn; sons, Charles (Frances) Dunn and Mackey (Robin) Dunn, both of Pikeville; daughters, Rita Snyder of Chattanooga and Charlotte (Bill) Austin of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Sabrina Hayes, Kimberly Sue Dunn, Eric Dunn, William C. Austin II, and Keisha Richardson; great-grandchildren, Brian Hayes and Jacealyn Emory Dunn, and one great-great-grandchild, Harper Marie Hayes; numerous nieces and nephews; and many dear friends and caregivers.

A celebration of his life was held in the funeral home chapel on February 13 with Bro. Phillip Luna officiating. Burial was in the Blackburn Cemetery with full military honors.
