Lucas Daryl Lee

Lucas Daryl Lee, 33, of Pikeville, born April 22, 1979, fell asleep on January 16, 2013 and awakened in the presence of the Lord Jesus.

He was a member of the West End Church of God and spent untold hours laboring on that facility for nothing more than his desire to see God be glorified. Lucas was a master carpenter in his family business “Lee Construction.” Lucas will be sorely missed by the church family and friends.

Preceding him in death were his grandfathers Arvil Dee Wooden and Ralph R. Lee; grandmother Gladys B. Lee.

Survivors include parents Kathy Wooden Lee and Monte Lee; grandmother Zola Wooden; sister Melissa Lee (Wayne) Wells; brother Travis Lee, all of Pikeville; niece Annie Lee Pendergrass; two nephews Logan Wells and Cain Lee. Lucas also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him and will miss him very much. To be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord, “Oh death where is your sting?”

Services were held at the West End Church of God on January 20 with Rev. Danny Lee and Matthew Lee officiating. Burial was in the Lee Family Cemetery.
