Fay Wilson

Charles Fay Wilson, 88, of the Daus community near Dunlap died Monday, December 17, 2012 at NHC Healthcare in Dunlap after a brief illness.

He was an Episcopalian and member of the Christ Church of South Pittsburg, a graduate of Sequatchie County High School, University of Chattanooga and Duke University. He served as a director of Sequatchie County Bank, now Mountain Valley Bank, for over 50 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Caswell and Hallie Madonna Davidson Wilson; sister, Katherine Wilson Britt Brown; nephew, Donald Wilson Britt; great-niece, Patricia Britt Chastain; and great-nephew, Jonathon Trevor Brown.

Survivors include his niece, Jane Britt Brown; great-nephew, Stephen Lyle Britt; great-nephew, James Spencer Brown; great-niece, Marilyn Elizabeth Brown; and great-nephew-in-law, Jason E. Chastain.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 21 in the funeral home chapel with Father Mark Scholz officiating. A eulogy will be given by Wendell Spicer and Lynn Johnson.

Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Charles Green, Paul van Boekhout, Ardell Johnson, Raymond Farley, Jeff Johnson and Randy Allen. Honorary pallbearers will be directors of Mountain Valley Bank.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Patricia Britt Chastain Scholarship fund or Chapel Hill Cemetery fund.
