Flo M. Swafford

Flo M. Swafford, age 76 of Pikeville died Tuesday, December 4, 2012.

She was member of the Pikeville United Methodist Church and was in the miniature collectors club. She and husband Leon were owners and operators of Shipley Supermarket in Pikeville for several years. She retired from the Bledsoe County Board of Education.

She was preceded in death by parents Creed and Annabel Lee Shipley.

Survivors include husband of 46 years Leon Swafford, Pikeville; two sons Mike (Cathy) Swafford and Bill (Tammy) Swafford, both of Spring City; three grandchildren Mathew and Marcus Murphy, and Michael Swafford; five great-grandchildren; brother-in-law and sister-in-law John and Betsy Swafford, Pikeville; three nephews and their families.

Services were held Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Pikeville United Methodist Church with Rev. Greg Smart officiating. Burial was by her parents in the Spring City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Flo to Pikeville United Methodist Church.
