Walter Cagle

Walter Cagle, 91, of Pikeville passed away on October 30, 2012.

He was an avid outdoorsman who’s favorite pastime was fishing, but he also liked to hunt as well. In his earlier years, he worked as a logger and as a coal miner.

He was of the Church of Christ Faith and had attended Doyle Church of Christ in Sparta.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Zella Grace Cagle; daughter, Evelen Hall; siblings, Milton Stewart, Dollie Dodson, and Ludia Dew; and his parents, Albert and Mary Ann Cagle.

He is survived and will be missed by his daughter, Mary Cunningham; grandchildren, Jason (Bridget) Cunningham, Valorie Cunningham, Misty Billingsley, Steven Hall, and Jennifer Hall; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Cassie, Macey, Cody, and Bryant Cunningham; several nieces and nephews, special friends, Patsy Fann, Rhonda, Drinda, Angela Shadden, and those that knew him as Paw Paw, Bianca, Mattie, Madison, and Lily Presley.

Services were held in the funeral home chapel with Willard Stewart officiating on November 1. Burial was in the Newton Cemetery.
