James T. Dodson

James T. Dodson, 80, of Spencer died Thursday, September 20, 2012. He was born in Big Bottom of Sparta to Arlis C. and Dollie Dodson. He was a member of Mooneyham Church of God.

He was preceded in death by daughter, Earsie Myers; grandson, B.J. Songer; brothers, Floyd and Charles Dodson; sisters, Tobytha Thompson, Laura Neela and Flora Watson.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Chrystine Dodson; sons, Lee Allen (Connie) Dodson and Ricky (Wilma) Dodson; daughter, Sammie Dodson; grandchildren, Chrissy Dodson, Sonya Songer, Nicole Dodson, Tyler (Kayla) Dodson, Jacob (Amanda) Songer, Wesley Songer and Angie (Michael) Noris; great-grandchildren, T.J. and Gabrien Songer, Gracie Smith, Logan Smelcer, Shayla, Wesley, Hailey, Dillon and Abby Songer, Hunter and Matthew Noris.

Services were held Monday, September 24 at Mooneyham Church of God with Rev. Doug Cunningham and Rev. Clyde Cunningham officiating. Burial was in Myers Cemetery.
