Rebecca Ann Forgey

Rebecca Ann Forgey, 54, of Pikeville passed away on Monday, September 17, 2012 after a lengthy battle with cancer.

She was born on December 23, 1957 to the late Landon Colvard, Sr. and Hortense Graham Colvard.

Rebecca attended the Pikeville Church of God. She served as an administrative assistant in the Bledsoe County Clerk and Masters office.

She was a devoted mother and wife. She enjoyed watching her children play sports. You would always see her at the ballpark and the gyms cheering her children on. She especially enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Dolly Agnes; and her niece, Mandy Colvard.

She is survived and will be missed by her husband, Greg Forgey; daughters, Melanie (Jeremiah) Johnson and Faith Forgey; son, Adam Forgey; brothers and sisters-in-law, Landon “Laney” (Charlotte) Colvard, Jr. of Crossville, Thad Ronald “Ronny” (Carol) Colvard and Daniel Graham “Dan” (Sue) Colvard of Pikeville; grandchildren, Jarrett and Melea Johnson; two brothers-in-law, Derek (Leisa) Forgey and Steve and Shelly Forgey; father and mother-in-law, Leroy and Agnes Forgey; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends.

A celebration of Rebecca’s life will be held at the Pikeville Church of God on Thursday, September 20, at 2:00 p.m. with her brother Ronny Colvard officiating, also speaking will be Bro. Larry Stevison. The family received friends at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Pikeville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to help with medical expenses.
