Charles Joseph “Chuck” Brest, III
Charles Joseph “Chuck” Brest, III, 68, of Jamestown, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly while visiting family in Pikeville on Friday, June 29, 2012. He was born February 10, 1944 in Dayton Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles J. Brest II; his mother, Virginia Rita Cook Jones; and a brother, John “Jack” Brest.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Early Brest, whom he married on July 25, 1964; children, Charles J. (Jacky Kathe Spencer) Brest IV of Jamestown, William Jacob (Darlene) Brest of Xenia Township, Ohio, and LuRita “Susie” Hatch of Jamestown; sisers, Donna Brunswick of Miamisburg and Nancy (Charles) Gray of Dayton; a brother Michael (Sandy) Brest of Sarasota, Florida; sister-in-law, Renee Brest of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Danelle (Andrew), Charles V., Tyler, Jacob, Stacie, Amy (Jesse) and Tony; great-grandchildren Drew, Nevin, Trent, Aiden, Abbey and Alison; as well as a host of other family members, cousins, nieces nephews and friends.
He retired from Flowserve in 1998. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing. He also enjoyed listening to the “oldies” and will be remembered for his sense of humor.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, July 5 in the Valley View Funeral Home in Xenia, Ohio with Pastor Joe Sweet officiating. Interment will follow in Valley View Memorial Gardens.
