Thomas Y. (T.Y.) Roberson

Thomas Y. (T.Y.) Roberson, 91, of Robinson, Illinois died at 10:55 a.m. on Sunday, December 11, 2011 at the Cotillion Ridge Nursing Home in Robinson.

He was born on August 23, 1920 in Pikeville, the son of John Roberson and Anna Swafford Roberson. He was a United States Marine, serving his country in the South Pacific during World War II.

He is survived by his wife Julia Graves Roberson; two daughters and a son-in-law, Sally and Bayard Alcorn of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Nancy Roberson of Knoxville; his two sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Mari-Anne Roberson of Jakarta, Indonesia, and Jeff Roberson and Monica Mohlenkamp of Cincinnati, Ohio; and his grandchildren: Jessica, Sam, and Jack Alcorn of Raleigh, North Carolina, Chris and Jewel Morrison of Knoxville, Callie and Jackson Minnich of Knoxville, Tom Roberson of New Orleans, Louisiana, Johnny, Ingrid, Annika, and Mia Grace Roberson of Jakarta, Indonesia, and Miranda and Celeste Roberson of Cincinnati, Ohio; brother, Maxey (Barbara) Roberson; sisters, Nada Myers, Mary Jean (Blake) Roberson, and Johnnie Roberson,

A celebration of his life memorial service was held on April 21 officiated by Pastor Greg Smart at graveside in the Roberson Family Cemetery.
