Edward Gross Roberson, 83, of Pikeville died Saturday afternoon, April 14, 2012 at Memorial Health Care Center. He was of the Christian faith.
Roberson retired from the United States Air Force, was a member of St. Elmo Lodge #437 F.&A.M., and a life-long member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 110. He also served on the eighth district national executive committee and served as district commander for the Disabled American Veterans.
He was preceded in death by his brothers J.B., Roy C., Jack and Lewis Roberson; and sister Linda Case.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Florence Roberson; daughters Yvonne Overton of Chattanooga and Linda Roberson of Pikeville; son, Billy S. Roberson of Oak Ridge; grandson Joel Overton; brothers, Blake (Mary Jean), Frank, and Tommy (Suzy), all of Pikeville; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held April 16 in the funeral home chapel and burial was in Collier Cemetery with full military honors.
