Elsie Marie Henderson, 85, of Pikeville went home to be with the Lord on March 1, 2012.
She was a homemaker and loved gardening, canning and quilting. She had a great love of the Bible and a love of gospel music, which she listened to daily. She was a member of Lee’s Station Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Floyd Henderson; parents, Stella Thurman Henderson and Robert L. Henderson; great-granddaughter, Christina Waldo; sisters, Bula Rothwell, Eula Hall and Lula Williams; and two brothers, Charles E. Henderson and J. U. Henderson.
She is survived by one daughter, Wanda Sue Redwine and husband, Jerry Wayne Redwine of Pikeville; two granchildren, Nicole Waldo and Mark Redwine of Crossville; four great-grandchildren, Brandon and Dylan Waldo, and Haley and Mason Redwine; one sister, Lena Smith of Battle Creek, Michigan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services were held Sunday, March 4 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Milton Ker officiating. Burial was in Worthington Cemetery.
Arrangements were made by Crossville Memorial Funeral Home, Crossville.
