Winona Dill

Winona Dill, born January 1, 1925, died Friday morning, November 18, 2011 at Erlanger Medical Center after a short illness.

She and her husband were owners and operators of The Dollar Store in Pikeville for over 45 years. She was a founding member of First Southern Baptist Church and a member of the Kitchen Kapers with the Bledsoe County Senior Citizens.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Dill; parents, Mary and Monroe Austin; sisters, Sara Cain, Betty Whitlow and Freba Harris; brother, Earl Wayne Austin; great-granddaughter, Sydney Logan Dill.

Survivors include her sons, Earl Lee (Pat) Dill of Knoxville and Gary Dill of Chattanooga; grandsons, Allen (Beth) Dill and Jeffery Dill; great-grandchildren, Kristen, Brittany, Brandon, Alexander, Austin, Jacob and Courtney Dill, all of Knoxville.

Funeral services were held November 20 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Jim Whitaker officiating. Burial was in Pikeville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the church of choice in memory of Winona.
