Marie Lee

Marie Eldridge Lee, 83 of Dayton died Sunday, October 30, 2011 at the Courtyard in Dayton. She was born February 18, 1928 in Monterey, to the late Joe and Emma Sue (Lawson) Eldridge. She was also preceded in death by her husband Dennis Elijah Lee.

She was a graduate of Cumberland County High School, class of 1946. She and her husband owned and operated Lee’s Cash Store. Lee was clerk/secretary for the A.S.C.S. office in Pikeville, and was an active member of the B&PW, Garden Club and American Legion Auxiliary. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dayton.

She is survived by her daughters Sue (David) Brown of Dayton and Kathy (Mike) Hall of Chattanooga; grandsons David Ray (Robin) Brown of Dayton and Patrick Gillespie of Chattanooga.

Graveside services were held October 31 in the Pikeville Cemetery in Pikeville with Rev. Ken Pierce and Rev. Nathan Parker officiating.
