James W. Angel, 70, of Pikeville passed away at his home on Sunday, September 11, 2011.
He served his country in the United States Army during the 1960’s. He was self-employed and spent most of his time in construction related jobs.
Angel was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Nellie Angel; six half-brothers and three half-sisters.
He is survived by his two brothers, Phillip (Barbara) Angel of Soddy Daisy and Robert (Alberta) Angel of Pikeville; two sisters, Maxie (Arthur) Evans and Vickie (Skip) Ball, both of Pikeville; stepchildren, Annette Prater Neal of Spring City, and Tony Prater of Chattanooga; several special nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
A celebration of his life was held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday September 14, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Burial was in Iron Hill Cemetery with full military honors provided by American Legion Post 66 and VFW post 5033.
