Willard Byrd

Willard Byrd, 89, of Pikeville, died Thursday, September 1, 2011. He was a member of Bethel Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by a great-grandchild Madyson Vincent; four sisters Adeline Conatser, Dona Smith, Rachel Smith and Katherine Franklin; three brothers John, Edward and James Allen Byrd.

Survivors include wife of 63 years Betty “Bet” Byrd; two daughters Merry (Clay) Greer and Judy (Jim) Vincent both of Dunlap; three sons Ronnie (Diane) Byrd of Pikeville; Danny (Dorcas) Byrd, Dunlap; Ricky (Donna) Byrd of Pikeville; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Services were held September 4 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. T.A. Smith officiating. Burial was in Collier Cemetery.
