William Thomas Bowman of Signal Mountain went to be with the Lord, Saturday, July 30, 2011 in a local hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on November 22, 1945 and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a very talented wood craftsman and a huge Braves fan. He was retired from US Pipe with 25 years in the maintenance department.
His parents, Hubert and Rosie Bowman; and brothers, Quinton and Clarence Bowman, preceded him in death.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 35 years, Priscilla Bowman; daughter, Angela (Bear) Pickett of Whitwell; sons, Roy (Mary) Bowman of Pikeville, Troy Bowman of Atlanta, Georgia, and Keith (Melissa) Davis of Signal Mountain; grandchildren, Danielle Pickett of Whitwell, Cory Bowman and Megan Davis of Dunlap, and J.T. Bowman of Whitwell; great-grandchildren, Alexis Guy and Alex Guy of Whitwell; brothers, Leonard Bowman of Dunlap, Kelly Bowman of Pikeville and Bob Cooley of Cleveland; sisters, Olena Shouldiers of Rossville, Georgia and Sarah Childress of Sparta; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 2 in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Dewayne Harris officiating.
Serving as pallbearers were Waymon Ewton, Jonathan Ewton, Ricky Ewton, Woody Wooden, Malcolm Harvey and Jim Shouldiers.
Burial was in Chattanooga Memorial Park.
Lane Funeral Home of Chattanooga was in charge of arrangements.
