Wanda F. Douglas

Wanda F. Douglas, 63, of Battle Creek, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Calhoun County Medical Care Facility. She was born on January 18, 1948, in Evansville, the daughter of Lester and Maddie (McMillon) Webb. Douglas was a homemaker most of her life. She had previously been employed at Liberty University in Lynchburg. She also taught kindergarten classes at Heritage Hills Bible Church School and at Bedford Bible Church School. Douglas enjoyed reading and gardening. She has been a member of Bedford Bible Church since 1984. She married Gilbert L. Douglas on July 15, 1966 in Battle Creek.

He survives her. She also is survived by her sons, Gilbert Douglas II of Athens, and Matthew (Tory) Douglas of Wilmington, Delaware, and by her daughter, Jennifer (Adrian) Nutt of Brockton, New York. She also leaves four grandchildren; her brothers, Gary and Bill Webb; and her sisters, Betty Denton and Joyce Randell.

Funeral services were held March 28 at Royal Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Huntington’s Disease Society of America.
