Frances Morgan

Frances Morgan, 88, of Pikeville, died Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at her home. She was a member of New Harmony Church of Christ and a charter member of the New Harmony Home Demonstration Club. 

Morgan was preceded in death by husband, Eugene (Gene) Morgan; son, Roger Dale Morgan; parents, Arby and Elma Crane; brothers, Dale, Eugene, Doug, and Lynnie Crane; and sisters, Minnie Fann and Nina Irons.

Survivors include five daughters, Geraldine (Delma) Shaver and Oleta (Freddy) Brewer both of Dayton, Claudette (John) Shaver of Chattanooga, Josephine (Steve) Regner of Clinton, Maryland, and Rhonda (Jamey) Roberson of Pikeville; 18 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Virgil, Cecil, and Auldin Crane of Dayton; sister, Virginia Stephens of Wartburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held April 3 in the funeral home chapel with Paul Cagle officiating. Burial was in Rigsby Cemetery.  Her grandsons served as pallbearers and the granddaughters as honorary pallbearers.
