Norma Gail Harwood

Norma Gail Harwood, 69, of Spring City died Monday, March 28, 2011 at her residence. She was a lifelong resident of Rhea County. She was a master quilter and a member of Wolf Creek Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Russell Harwood; parents Harvey and Ruby Coulter Barger; and sister, Rosemary Simpson.

Survivors include her son Charles Russell “Russ” Harwood of Spring City; and daughter, Ronda (Roy) Harwood Roberson of Pikeville; grandchildren, Rachael and Amber Harwood of Spring City, Chad (Cara) Roberson of Pikeville and Alicia (Mitch) Fuller of Spring City; great-grandchildren Camden Blake Harwood and Raylee Gail Fuller, both of Spring City; two brothers, Ronnie Barger and Sonny Barger; sisters, Leona Porter, Blanche Miller, Freida Shipley and Beth Barger; and several nieces and nephews.

Her service is planned for Thursday, March 31 at 11:00 a.m. at Wolf Creek Baptist Church in Spring City with Rev. Paul Forgey officiating. She will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church. Visitation was Wednesday after 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment is at Porter Hill Cemetery.
