Wendel Angel

Wendel Angel, 70, of Pikeville passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2010.

Angel was of the Baptist faith. He also served his country in the United States Army. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Mamie Angel; brothers, Clyde Angel, James Linvel Angel and Clayton Angel.

He is survived and will be missed by his wife, Eleanor; sons, Darryl (Sandra) Angel, Linvel Angel, Terry (Sandra) Angel, Jerry Angel, and David Angel; brother, Eston Angel; sisters, Virginia Smith, Louveda Cox, and Helen (Tommy) Johnson; grandchildren, Ashley Renee Angel, Chasidy Hankins, Britteny Sherrill, Shelby Lynn, Wendel Aaron, Heather Dunn, Nicholas Cline, Bradley Dewayne, Kimberly, and Shaine; great-grandchildren, Peyton, Trent, Skylar, Morgan, Madison, Rylan, James, Riley, and Reagan; many nieces and nephews; and several close friends.

A celebration of his life was held in the funeral home chapel January 26. Burial was in Iron Hill Cemetery with full military honors provided by American Legion Post 66 and VFW Post 5033.
