Roy Clayton Brock

Roy Clayton Brock, 78, of Pikeville went home to be with his Lord on Monday, January 24, 2011.

He was born on February 16, 1932 in Pikeville to the late Hobert and Vergie Lou Brock. He retired from General Motors, was a Korean War Veteran and a member of VFW Post 5033. He was a loving husband and father who was devoted to his family. He enjoyed working in his garden and was an avid gun and knife collector, and enjoyed watching sports.

Brock was preceded in death by his brother Wiley Ray Brock and sister Willadean Overturf.

He is survived by wife of 54 years, Edna Mae Brock of Pikeville; three daughters Debi Wegley of Brookville, Ohio, Sherry Denlinger of Dayton, Ohio, and Tammy (Tip) Watson of Spring City; one son, Roy Charles (Amy) Brock of Brookeville, Ohio; three granddaughters Kristen (Jay) Mahan of Ohio, Megan Wegley of Ohio and Brianna Watson of Spring City; step-granddaughter Kayla Cumming; five grandsons Ryan (Becky) Denlinger of Ohio, Army Private Zachary Denlinger based in Fort Knox, Kentucky, Joshua Brock and Dylan Davis of Pikeville, Cody Watson of Spring city; three great-grandchildren, Logan and Brooklyn Mahan of Ohio and Savannah Denlinger of Ohio; five sisters, Earnestean Brock of Oak Ridge, Christean Madden of Pkeville, Helen Smith of West Virginia, Mary James and Shirley Bush of Ohio.

Visitation is Thursday, January 27 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 28 at 11:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
