Margaret Marie Swafford

    Margaret Marie Swafford, 90, went home to be with the Lord on December 2, 2010. She was a dedicated homemaker, wife and mother. She was a member of Morgan Springs Baptist Church.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Nola Rothwell; brothers, Edd, A.D., Raymond, and Hobert Rothwell; and a sister, Mildred Evans.

    She is survived and will be missed by her husband of 74 years, Marshal Swafford; sons, Herbert Swafford, Hershal (Deena) Swafford, Marshal Swafford, Jr., Wayne (Cathy) Swafford, Willard (Julia) Swafford, and Roland Hixson; brothers, Robert (Barbara) Rothwell, Lynn (Fannie Ruth) Rothwell, and Leonard (Jewell) Rothwell; sister, Anita Daniels; 13 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.

    A celebration of her life was held in the funeral home chapel on December 4 with Bro. Doyle Ashburn and Bro. John Baker officiating. Burial was in the Summer City Cemetery.
