James Angel

    James Angel, 77, of Pikeville went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday November 30, 2010.

    He was a former employee of TVA where he worked as a lineman. Angel was of the Baptist faith and attended First Baptist Church in Pikeville.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Lige and Della Angel; brothers, Grady, Charles, Nathaniel, and Jeffrey Angel; sisters. Wanda Angel and Radith Hodges; and a great-granddaughter, Angel Blaylock.

    He is survived and will be missed by his sons, Ronny (Michele) Angel and Gary (Lisa) Angel; daughters, Connie (Marty) Daggett, Donna (Charles) Angel, Shelia Ann (David) Turner, and Genese (Bob) Sapp; brother, Dwain (Dorothy) Angel; sisters, Juanita (Junior) Hankins, Ruby Walling, Freda (Gene) Frady, and Linda (Lanny) Simmons of Ohio; 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many close friends.

    A Celebration of his life was held in the funeral home chapel on December 3 with Bro. Jimmy Williams officiating. Burial was in the Iron Hill Cemetery.
