Gladys Smith Hale

    Gladys Smith Hale, 68, of Herscher, Illinois died Saturday, November 27, 2010 at Kindred Hospital in Sycamore, Illinois.

    She was preceded in death by her father and mother Earnest and Laura Hale Smith; three brothers, Carlos, Hollis and James H. Smith; two sisters, Lola Junita Houston and Opah Richardson; and nephews and niece.

    She is survived by one daughter Teresa Hale of Arkansas; two sons, Dallas and Jeff Hale of Illinois; six grandchildren; and one sister Barbara Thurman of Pikeville; and sevearl nieces and nephews.

    Preliminary arrangements made include cremation and the ashes being returned to Pikeville and buried. For more information on the arrangements call 447-2962
