Clarice Fields

    Clarice Fields, 85, of Pikeville passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2010. She was a store owner for many years prior to coming to Pikeville. She was a member and attended Sequatchie Valley Church of Christ for 31 years.

    Fields was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Calvin Fields; her parents Rueben and Dolly Smith; brother; Eldridge Smith; sisters, Inez Meadows and Norma Kale; and a nephew, Steven Smith.

    She is survived and will be greatly missed by her son and daughter-in-law; Douglas and Vicky Fields; daughter, Janice Herbert, grandchildren, Jamie (Ellen) Williams, Jessica (Craig) Williams, Jolene Fields, and Jarod Fields of Pikeville, and Michael (Beth) Herbert of Boston, Massachusetts; great-grandchildren, Shawn Neeley, Riley Skyles, Thomas and Adriann Williams, and Nora Rose Herbert.

    A celebration of her life was held in the funeral home chapel November 8 with Min. Paul Cagle officiating. Burial was in Pikeville City Cemetery followed by a white dove release.
