Clara Johnson

Clara Johnson, 88, of Pikeville, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 surrounded by her loving family and a host of Angels at her home.

Johnson and her twin brother, Dooley, were born in different months. They were recognized in the Guinness Book of World Records for the longest period of time between the birth of twins. Clara was born on August 26, 1921 and her twin brother was born on September 1, 1921, six days later.

She was a member of Pikeville Church of God.

Johnson was preceded in death by her husband Dutch Johnson.

Survivors include daughters Angie (Ken) Speelman and Genell Brock; sons Bruce (Sharon) Johnson; Tommy (Helen) Johnson and Greg (Marsha) Johnson, all of Pikeville; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother Bobby (Lois) Annis of Lenoir City; very special niece Elizabeth Bayless; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held July 10 at the Pikeville Church of God with Rev. Ronnie Colvard and Rev. Leroy Forgey officiating. Burial was in Pikeville Cemetery.
