Hassie M. Britt

Hassie M. Britt, 84, of Pikeville went home to be with the Lord Saturday, June 26, 2010, following a long illness in a local hospital.

She retired from Dura Automotive and was a member of the Pikeville Church of God of Prophecy.

Britt was preceded in death by her parents Rose and John Bowman; two children, Randall Britt and Martha Sue Freeman; and sisters, Irene Bowman and Myrtle Starr.

Survivors include her daughter Wanda Britt Lowe of Pikeville; three sons David (Kathie) Britt of Pikeville, Jerry (JoAnn) Britt of Pikeville, and Tommy (Susan) Britt of Graysville; three granddaughters, Kathy Skiles (Jeff) Smith of Pikeville, Karen Skiles (Alan) Pack of Dunlap and Jerica Britt of Pikeville; four grandsons, Matthew Tucker and Marcus Britt of Pikeville, and Justin and Robbie Davenport of Graysville; three great-grandsons James Edward Holland of Pikeville, Matthew Dale Skiles Reece of Dunlap, Greggory Pack of Dunlap, Luke Smith of Pikeville; two great-granddaughters Whitney Holland of Pikeville and Brandi Mooneyham of Dunlap; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Services were held June 28 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Woodrow Forsythe and Bro. Hubert Thurman officiating. Burial was in Iron Hill Cemetery.
