Mattie “Ann” Layne Carr

Mattie “Ann” Layne Carr, 59, of the Daus community near Dunlap, died Sunday, September 13, 2009 at her home.
    She was a member of South Whitwell Baptist Church. Carr was preceded in death by her parents, Barney and Nancy Hamblen Layne.
    Survivors include her husband, Darrel Carr of Daus; daughter, Regina (Allan) Parks; son, Jimmy (Sheila) Carr, both of Dunlap; sisters, Carolyn Terry, and Kathy Walden, both of Whitwell; brother, Troy Layne of Cartwright; grandchildren, Bobby Parks, Anchorage, Alaska, John Connor Parks, and Kelsie Carr, both of Dunlap.
    Funeral services were held September 15 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Roy Lynn Terry officiating. Burial was in Bryant Cemetery.
