Sally Howe Roberson

    Sally Howe Roberson, 75, of Winter Garden, Florida passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2009, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was a devoted wife of 56 years, a loving mother of five, grandmother of nine and great-grandmother of three.
    She was born in Knoxville to James and Myrtle Howe. In 1953, she married Gordon Roberson of Pikeville. She moved to Winter Garden with her family in 1965 where she was an active community member. She was a member of the First United Methodist church in Winter Garden and was an active participant in the PTA organizations where her children attended school. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the United Methodist Women. She will be greatly missed.
    She is survived by her husband Gordon, her children Kenneth (Teena), Terry Wagner, Jim (Julie), Mary (Tim) Keating and Paul (Lisa); grandchildren Anna, Adam (Melissa), Deysia, Joni (Dave) Irwin, Jessie (Jeff) Hopkins, Jake, Ashley L. Keating, Timothy M. Keating III, Kathryn B. Keating; and great-grandchildren Dylan, Brandon and Nathan.
    A memorial service was held at the First United Methodist church in Winter Garden on June 29. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for a loving donation be made in her name to the Alzheimer Association, Hospice of the Comforter of Central Florida or the First United Methodist Church in Winter Garden.
