Murrell Lee Ward

    Murrell Lee Ward, 54, of McMinnville died Monday evening, May 25, 2009 at an area hospital. Ward was a handyman, and he loved to work with his hands. He was also a mason, and of the Baptist faith.
    He was preceded in death by his mother Thelma Ward and sister Alice Christian.
    He is survived and will be missed by his father Thurman Ward of Smartt Station; brothers Paul Edward (Janice) Ward of Dibrell, Kenneth (Audrey) Ward of Rock Island, David (Rita) Ward of McMinnville, Michael (Janice) Ward of Smithville, Jim Ward of Holiday, Florida; sisters Brenda (Ricky) Henderson of Rock Island, Martha (Kenneth) Braswell of Elmwood, Linda (Tommy) Thompson of McMinnville, Lynn (Laurie) Ward of Pikeville; and several nieces and nephews.
    A celebration of his life will be held in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 pm Thursday, May 28, 2009 with Andy Smith and Jeff Smith officiating. Burial will be in Collier Cemetery.
