Gwen Hicks

Gwen C. Sapp Hicks, born June 9, 1924 enjoyed her home in Nashville. Her unexpected passing occurred Tuesday, May 19, 2009. She was a faithful member of Fairview United Methodist church.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, two brothers, one sister and her parents Otto W. and Marie P. Curtis.
    Her adored surviving children include daughter Madolyn Sapp and husband Paul Lindsay of Phoenix, Arizona; sons Roger W. Sapp, Sr. of Adrian, Georgia and Henry W. “Buddy” and wife Linda Sapp of Lakeville, Minnesota; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
    Rev. Henry Groseclose and Rev. Leroy Stottlemyer officiated her funeral service held May 21. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
    In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Villa Maria Manor Activity Fund, 32 White Bridge Road, Nash-ville, TN 37205.
