Dorthy Mae Cooley
Dorthy Mae Cooley, 72, of Pikeville passed away Sunday, May 3, 2009 at an area hospital. She was an avid reader and loved to sew. She also worked at Robinson Manufacturing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Cooley; parents, Brown and Ulzo Mooneyham; sisters, Dolly Mooneyham, Gladys Setzer, and Pauline Hankins; brother, Billy Mooneyham; and one great-grand-daughter, Angel Blaylock.
She was the loving mother of eight children who will continue to cherish her memory each and every day. Her children are Connie (Marty) Daggett, Ronnie (Michele) Angel, Donna Sue (Charles) Angel-Shadrick, Sheila (David) Turner, Genese (Bob) Sapp, Gary (Lisa) Angel, and Harleigh and Taylor Cooley, all of Pikeville. She will sorely be missed by her sisters Jean (Wayne) Myers of Crossville, Pam (Roy) Simmons and Joyce (Randy) McReynolds, both of Pikeville; brothers, Johnny (Irene) Mooneyham of Pikeville and Jerry Mooneyham of Chattanooga. She is survived by her 14 grand-children, 13 great-grand-children and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services will be held in the funeral home chapel May 6 with Bro. Jimmy Williams officiating. Burial was in Blackburn Cemetery.
