Julia Elizabeth Leonard

    Julia Elizabeth Leonard, 90, of Graysville and formerly of Chattanooga passed away at an area hospital on Friday, March 20, 2009 sur-rounded by all her loved ones.
    She was born January 26, 1919 to Jules Seaman, a Czechoslovakian immigrant who had come to America to make a better life for himself and Esther Gross of Chattanooga. She loved music and majored in music while in college. She attended and was the pianist for Brayton Baptist Church.
    She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Charles Spurgeon; and parents, Jules and Esther Seaman.
    She is survived and will be missed by her sons Charles (Julie) Leonard, Jr., of Cookeville and Donald (Lois) Leonard of Crossville; daughters Nancy Elizabeth Williams of Cleveland and Marilyn Jane (Thom) Wil-liams of Pikeville; six grand-children, six great-grand-children; and one great-great-grandchild.
    A graveside service at Beautiful Greenwood Cemetery atop Missionary Ridge in Chattanooga was held March 23 with Bro. Denniss McChargue offici-ating.
