    Salad luncheon at Bledsoe Senior Center

    Swafford’s Chapel is site for local DAR meeting

    The Sequatchie Valley Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution will hold its monthly meeting on April 29 at Swafford’s Chapel at 10:00 am. The objectives of the chapter are to perpetuate the memory and spirit of the men and women who achieved American Independence. They do this by protecting historical spots, encouraging historical research, preserving documents and relics, and through the promotion of celebrations of all patriotic anniversaries.     Rabies clinic April 29

    The annual Rabies Clinic for Bledsoe County is Saturday, April 29, at two locations: Pikeville Elementary from 9:00 a.m. to noon, and Mary V. Wheeler Elementary from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. The cost is $12 for the vaccination. Dogs must be on a leash and cats must be in carriers. The clinic is sponsored by Dr. Donna Crow with Mountain Top Veterinary Services, and the Bledsoe County Health Department. B17

    Chicken dinner at Luminary

    Luminary Frostbite Volunteer Fire Department is hosting a chicken dinner on Saturday, April 29 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. EST. Plates are $5 each for adults, children eat for $2.50 per plate. Please come support the department.     BCHS Class of 1967 planning 50 year reunion

    Members of the Bledsoe County High School Class of 1967 will be meeting on Saturday, April 29, at 1:00 p.m. at the First Southern Baptist Church in Pikeville to continue working on plans for their 50 year class reunion.     Bledsoe County High School Class of 1975 is hosting a birthday party for all classmates born in 1957 and who will be turning or turned 60 this year. All classmates are invited, whether you graduated or not, to celebrate this milestone with your friends. Come to Nickel Row Music Hall on April 29 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. for live music and a DJ playing songs from the 70’s. Finger foods provided.B17
