    Several activities and services are planned at Lee Station Baptist Church in March and April. On March 5, a singing with Crystal Elam will be held. March 19 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. is skating at Valley Entertainment. Everyone is asked to bring a couple of non-perishable food items. Movie night is March 25 at 5:00 p.m. at the Pikeville Townhouses. March 26 is Women at the Well Ministries. Ladies will be sharing their testimony of deliverance from addiction. Revival is planned for April 2-5 at 6:00 p.m. with Bro. Adam Powers.     Diabetes seminar at Brayton SDA is planned

    On Sunday, March 19 and 26, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., the Brayton Seventh-day Adventist Church will be holding a Reversing Diabetes seminar at the Brayton-Hendon Community Center. Healthcare professionals will be present to measure blood sugar levels and blood pressure levels among other services. There is a $25 fee for instruction materials (assistance is available). This seminar will be followed by a series of meetings on preventive healthcare to be announced at a later date and will be free of charge. The community center is located on Hendon Road in Graysville (Pitts Gap area).BT8-9

    Pre-K registration for the Bledsoe County School System will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at each elementary school as follows: March 22, Rigsby Elementary, March 23 at Wheeler Elementary, and March 24 at Pikeville Elementary. Please bring child who will be 4 by August 15, 2017; proof of residency: an electric, gas or water bill in parent/guardian’s name; certified copy of child’s birth certificate; child’s immunization record; child’s physical; child’s Social Security Card; and proof of income or food stamp case number (if applicable).

    If you cannot obtain some of these documents by the registration dates, please come to registration anyway. Children must live in Bledsoe County to register for pre-k unless there is a sibling that already attends Bledsoe County Schools If you have any questions please call 423-447-7438.B11S12

    The Bledsoe County Democratic Party will hold a Biennial Reorganization Convention to elect new leaders on Saturday, March 25, at 7:30 a.m. The meeting takes place at the SVEC meeting room in Pikeville. The Reorganization Convention is open to all Bledsoe County Democrats. Party members, potential members, elected democrats, and potential candidates are encouraged to attend. Attendees should arrive early to complete credential forms and be admitted to the convention prior to 7:30 am, when the meeting will begin.
